Summary: Collection consists of correspondence, notebooks, pamphlets, publications, legal and historical documents, drawings, photographs, and E. Boyd memorabilia. Professional papers contain correspondence (1925-1974) and research notebooks. Art papers include pamphlets of the Rio Grange Painters, material on Randall Davey and other New Mexico artists, scrapbooks about W.P.A projects in New Mexico, Boyd's painting exhibits and correspondence, clippings, and scrapbooks about the Museum of New Mexico Spanish Colonial Arts Department. Historic preservation series covers Boyd's work with the New Mexico Cultural Properties Review Committee, the Historic Santa Fe Foundation, and the Santa Fe Historical Sites Commission. Historic documents include the Peralta family papers, 1822-1932 (catalogued separately), miscellaneous papers from the Yrisarri family (ca. 1852-1904), and a wide range of individual items documenting social, political, and religious life in New Mexico (1827-1971). Publications include articles by Boyd and others primarily concerning Spanish Colonial folk and religious art in New Mexico. Boyd's personal papers include family correspondence (1913-1967), death notices, business and legal papers, and genealogical material on the White family.
